Vocal range test
Sing from your lowest note to your highest. You will learn your range and voice type, and key suggestions will get more accurate.
Microphone needed
Sound is analysed right in your browser and never uploaded. The browser will ask for permission once.
- Wear headphones when singing over a track so the music doesn't leak into the microphone.
- Audio interface with two inputs (Scarlett, etc.): the voice is found on either input automatically, and you can pick the channel in Settings.
- Level: loud parts should reach the yellow zone of the meter, but not the red.
How to find your range and voice type
- Sing "ah" on a comfortable note and slide down to the lowest note that still sounds.
- Then go up to the highest one — falsetto is fine.
- A note counts if you hold it for 0.3 seconds. Your range is saved and the warm-ups adapt to it.
Voice types follow classical working ranges: bass E2–E4, baritone A2–A4, tenor C3–C5, contralto F3–F5, mezzo-soprano A3–A5, soprano C4–C6. It is a guide: voice type depends on timbre, not only on range.
