Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Vocal Studio (sneznyj.github.io/vocal-studio) is a web application for processing and analysing vocals. Operator of the service: Pavel. Contact: kruiz255@gmail.com.

2. The short version

• No sign-up. We do not ask for your name, phone number or e-mail and do not create accounts.
• Your voice, uploaded tracks and processing results are handled right on your device, in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers.
• We count visits anonymously (see section 6). There are no advertising trackers; cookies are set only by Yandex Metrica and only with your consent.

3. What is stored on your device

So that you can come back to your work, your browser stores on your device (in IndexedDB and localStorage): songs and backing tracks, recorded takes, studio projects, analysis reports, exercise records, settings, your language choice and your answer about statistics. This data is only available in this browser on this device and is never sent to us. You can delete it in Progress → Erase everything, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

4. Microphone

Microphone access is requested by your browser and used only while the service is open, to analyse and record your voice. The microphone sound is processed on your device and sent nowhere. You can revoke the permission in your browser settings.

5. Your voice and recordings stay on your device

This website has no features that send your voice, tracks or analysis results anywhere: everything is computed in the browser on your device.

6. Visit statistics

• Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC, Russia) is enabled only if you click "Allow" in the statistics prompt. It uses cookies and collects anonymised visit data: pages, referrer, device, browser, city by IP and on-page actions (including session replay without what you type into fields). Yandex processes the data under its terms. Changed your mind? Click "Withdraw consent" at the bottom of this page; Metrica cookies are removed when you clear the site data.

7. Hosting logs

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). Like any website, the hosting provider and the font service may keep technical access logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and operation. We do not use them to identify users.

8. Children

The service does not collect personal data, so it can be used at any age. If features involving personal data (accounts, payments) appear in the future, parental consent will be required for users under 14 (or the age required in your country) — we will announce this in advance.

9. Your rights and changes to this policy

You can delete your data on your device at any time (see section 3), withdraw your consent to Yandex Metrica and ask us questions at kruiz255@gmail.com. If the service starts collecting other data (for example, accounts), we will update this policy before that happens and ask for your consent where required. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have the rights of access, erasure and objection under the GDPR.
